Privacy Policy and Partner Disclosure

Who we are
This site is operated by Julien Mouttet, trading as Design Scaling, who is the data controller for the information described below. For any privacy request, write to [email protected] or use the contact page.
Partner disclosure
Design Scaling is an independent discovery, qualification and matching platform for business design services. We do not perform design services, and we are not Design Elite. Design Elite is the selected provider we currently work with. The design work shown on this site is produced by Design Elite and shown with their permission.
When you submit the form on this site, we review your request and introduce you to the selected provider, currently Design Elite. The provider contracts with you, performs the service and invoices you directly. Design Elite pays us when that introduction results in a booked and attended call, and again if it becomes a client relationship.
We state this because the incentive is real and you are entitled to weigh it when reading anything on this site.
What we collect
Information you give us through the Design Solution Finder and our forms
- Your answers to the finder questions: what you need designed, how often, your monthly volume, turnaround, motion needs, budget range and the kind of support you want
- The design profile and recommended model the finder calculates from those answers
- Your name, work email, company, website and, if you choose to give it, your phone number
- Anything else you choose to write to us
On partner offer pages (offers.designscaling.com), the form also asks for your name, phone number and website.
You can see your finder result without giving any contact details. Your answers are only sent to us if you submit the contact step.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server and analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring source
- UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers (such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid or fbclid) identifying which page or campaign brought you here, kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab and sent with your request if you submit one
Why we collect it
To assess fit. Your finder answers determine which design model makes sense for you and whether a provider we work with can serve that need. We use them for that and nothing else.
To make the introduction. If there is a fit, we share the request data you submitted (your finder answers, your recommended model and your contact details) with the selected provider, currently Design Elite, so they can contact you and respond to your request.
To attribute the introduction. UTM parameters let the selected provider identify that the introduction came from us. That is how we are paid.
To improve the site. Aggregate analytics only.
We do not sell your data, we do not build advertising profiles from it, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you separately ask us to.
Who receives it
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Design Elite (the selected provider) | Your form responses and contact details | To contact you and respond to your request |
| Our form provider | Your form submission, as a processor | Form handling and delivery |
| Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) | Usage data, click identifiers, conversion events | Site measurement and advertising measurement |
| Calendly, used by Design Elite | The details you enter when booking a call | Scheduling the call you request with Design Elite |
From the point of introduction onward, Design Elite processes your information under their own privacy policy, including for any contract, delivery and invoicing between you and them.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are retained for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and the right to ask remains yours.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected] or use the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site and our partner offer pages load Google Tag Manager, which runs Google measurement and advertising tags. They record page views, clicks on calls to action, video views and form submissions so we can measure which campaigns bring requests.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a cookie banner asks for your choice on your first visit, with "Accept all" and "Reject all" given equal weight. Until you choose, and if you refuse, Google tags run in Google Consent Mode with advertising and analytics storage denied: no advertising or analytics cookie is set. The Calendly booking calendar on partner offer pages, which sets its own cookies, only loads once you allow it.
Elsewhere, measurement and advertising cookies may be set by default, and you can refuse them at any time.
You can change your choice whenever you like through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in a cookie named cc_cookie, valid on designscaling.com and its subdomains, for 6 months; we then ask again.
| Category | Used for | Cookies set by |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembering your cookie choice | Design Scaling (cc_cookie) |
| Audience measurement | Pages viewed and campaign performance, in aggregate | Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager |
| Advertising | Measuring which adverts lead to a request | Google Ads, via Google Tag Manager |
| Booking calendar | Booking a call with Design Elite on offer pages | Calendly |
We do not sell your data and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Changes
We update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we share your information are stated at the top of the page for 30 days.
